Day 17 – Cape Canaveral, Florida – Yaay!

Today we arrived in Florida after 6 rather long days at sea. It was pretty chaotic getting off the ship as everyone on board seemed to be going to the Kennedy Space Centre (although apparently it was only 500). It took us 2 hours from joining the queue to disembark, to boarding the coach on the quay. It was also bitterly cold – only 9 degrees – so we were very glad we had not opted to do the open air Everglades boat ride!

It goes without saying that the Kennedy Space Centre is a world class museum and although there were 6 cruise ships in port today, it still managed to feel relatively uncrowded; until we came to leave, when the queue to board the coaches stretched half way around the park.
We were very tired by the time we got back to the ship and were pleased to get warm and put our feet up after clocking up 9,500 steps. 😎
