Day 7 – First Day at Sea

Awoke at 8.30 this morning, although I didn’t sleep particularly well, mainly due to being so excited about our forthcoming adventures! Went for breakfast and then walked 3 times around the promenade deck, which amounts to a mile we are told. We then explored the shops before heading off to the laundry to do a pile of washing!

It has been a bit of a blustery day so far, with the wind at force 5/6, and a 3 metre swell. It is however 13 degrees, which is about 13 degrees more than when we left Southampton and feels surprisingly balmy! So far we have done approximately 400 miles and only have another 22,000 to go (according to our humorous Captain Tom Connery). More soon folks. Xx
