Spanish Classes
Since leaving Brazil, Spanish lessons have appeared on the Daily Programme of Events, so this morning Bridge dragged Paul along for the purpose of acquiring a few key phrases. Having missed yesterday’s introduction, we found ourselves staring gormlessly at the screen whilst struggling to get to grips with the unfamiliar words and sentences, whilst our classmates glared at us for using Google Translate and, it seems, stealing ‘their’ seats. We concluded the proceedings just about able to say ‘Hola’ and ‘Hasta la vista baby’, as well as inform shopkeepers of the names of our aunts. Something tells me we won’t be at tomorrow’s class.
