Day 66 – Aruba Bridge, March 10, 2025March 12, 2025 Aruba is a small island located 18 miles off the coast of Venezuela and is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is 20 miles long and 6 miles wide, with a population of 108,000. Its main economic activities are tourism and aloe vera production. It has one of the highest standards of living of all the Caribbean islands and this is very evident from the number of designer shops in the capital Oranjestad! Today we set our alarm ⏰ for 7 am and were ashore by 8.30. We quickly located the bus station and caught the bus to the beautiful Eagle Beach where we stayed for a couple of hours. After this we caught the bus back to Oranjestad and went for a lovely lunch followed by a good mooch around the shops and the two markets. By now it was around 3.00 pm and, with aching feet, we reluctantly threw in the towel and returned to our ship having had a lovely day. Daily Posts
